Dr. Mark Kozlowski Named CarePoint Health’s New CEO

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colorado—Dr. Mark Kozlowski, a veteran emergency medicine physician and healthcare administrator with more than 20 years of clinical and leadership experience, has been named CarePoint Health's new chief executive officer.

Kozlowski joined CarePoint in 2000 as an emergency physician practicing at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado, where he became the emergency department medical director. Kozlowski served on Swedish's Medical Executive Committee for eight years, chaired multiple committees and served as the president of the medical staff. His many accomplishments in emergency medicine leadership include the launch of the CarePoint physician assistant and clinical scribe programs.

In 2016, Kozlowski became the chief operating officer for CarePoint's Eastern market. During his time as COO, Kozlowski oversaw the company's expansion from Denver into Wichita, Kansas, where CarePoint provides emergency medicine and hospital services to the Wesley Healthcare System. Kozlowski has led the company's expansion into multiple rural emergency departments and launched the company's Emergency Medical Services Telemedicine program. Kozlowski has distinguished himself as a disciplined and respected leader with a legacy of innovation, fiscal stewardship and an unparalleled work ethic.

Kozlowski succeeds Dr. Steve Quach, who, in his eight years as CarePoint's CEO, oversaw the merger of CarePoint, PC with Salt Lake City-based Emergency Physicians Integrated Care (EPIC) to form one of the nation's largest independent physician-owned practices. Quach also oversaw the creation of CarePoint Health, a management services organization serving a diverse group of medical practices across eight specialties. CarePoint has boots on the ground in eight states and provides telehealth services in 26 states with over 450 physicians and 200 advanced practices providers on the CarePoint team.
