Honoring Excellence: CarePoint Emergency Medicine Physician and Leader Pramod Vangeti Named Mountain Ridge’s Physician of the Year
CarePoint's Pramod Vangeti, MD, who has practiced at HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge since 2018, has been named the hospital’s 2025 Physician of the Year.

CarePoint emergency medicine physician and leader Pramod Vangeti, MD, who has practiced at HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge (Thornton, CO) since 2018, has been named the hospital’s 2025 Physician of the Year.
Members of Mountain Ridge’s medical executive committee and senior leadership team selected Dr. Vangeti from a pool of more than 600 physicians.
He was honored on April 1, 2026, at the hospital, where clinical and executive leaders gathered to celebrate his immeasurable impact on Mountain Ridge, its patients, and their families. Mountain Ridge PCEO Ryan Thornton and Medical Staff President Joseph Abdallah, MD, spoke at the ceremony, expressing their deep gratitude for the work of Dr. Vangeti and the entire CarePoint emergency medicine team at the facility.
“To be selected as Physician of the Year from among more than 600 doctors is a testament to Dr. Vangeti’s expertise and impact,” CarePoint CEO Mark Kozlowski, MD, said. “He isn’t just a brilliant doctor; he’s a strategic force and a mentor to many. Dr. Vangeti’s career has been a masterclass in both clinical expertise and physician leadership.”
In addition to being a compassionate, hands-on physician, Dr. Vangeti is a seasoned leader with a sharp eye for clinical strategy. He serves as regional medical director for CarePoint’s emergency medicine operation in Colorado and Kansas and as medical director of both the Mountain Ridge and Northeast (Thornton) emergency departments. He has served on the CarePoint PC Board of Directors since 2023 as well.
He has been a part of several other leadership groups at CarePoint, including the practice committee and the scribe workgroup. Outside of CarePoint, he has served terms on the Colorado American College of Emergency Physicians Board of Directors and contributed his expertise as a medical reviewer for trauma accreditation for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
Within the hospital, Dr. Vangeti sits on several other committees — the medical executive committee, the leadership council, and the trauma performance improvement and patient safety committee among them.
Dr. Vangeti joined CarePoint in 2014 and initially worked at HCA HealthONE Aurora (Aurora, CO), serving as its associate medical director for several years before joining the Mountain Ridge team.
A graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Vangeti completed his emergency medicine residency at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE, where he was chief resident. He went on to complete an emergency medicine administration fellowship at Christiana Care.
