Webinar Overview
Historically there has been a lack of literature and general awareness of primary stroke events leading to trauma, and a resulting missed opportunity to offer hyperacute stroke treatments to these patients. STRAUMA protocols are seeking to change that. STRAUMA is an area of growing interest in the fields of vascular neurology, trauma, and emergency medicine.
Objectives:
- Recognize potential for acute stroke in trauma patients
- Understand coordination of care pre-hospital and within the ED may improve patient outcomes
- Apply liberal use of CTA with AI to facilitate early identification of LVO
- Discuss key points through case review
