Quality Improvements in Stroke Care
Description
Quality improvement (QI) is critical to the success of any stroke program, and the primary responsibility for QI success is typically owned by the stroke coordinator. Successful QI projects help propel the success of all stroke programs and are required regulatory elements for stroke center certification.
After this webinar, the participant will be equipped to:
- Discuss different QI models
- Identify areas in their stroke program that will benefit from structured QI
- Apply QI tools and strategies to identified areas for improvement
About the Presenter
Becky van Vliet, DNP, APRN, is the Director of Quality for Blue Sky Telehealth. Becky received her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Colorado in 2023. Her work at BST allows her the opportunity to integrate her previous bedside, advanced practice, and stroke coordinator experience to improve processes and access to hyperacute stroke care at hospitals all around the country.
