Aneurysmal SAH: 2023 AHA Guideline Update

Description

The AHA/ASA released an update to the aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage guidelines earlier this year, replacing the 2012 guidelines. This webinar will focus on the best practice updates in caring for these complex, critically ill patients that you can implement in your EDs and Neuro ICU.

Objectives:

• Explain the pathophysiology of aSAH
• Discuss the diagnosis and initial stabilization of aSAH
• Discuss updates in critical care management and best nursing practice in the Neuro ICU

About the Presenter

Dr. Zach Norman joined Blue Sky in 2021. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor society. His interests in neurology include neurocritical care, specifically multimodality intracranial monitoring. He earned a CFA charter during his prior career in finance. When he’s not spending time with his wife and four kids exploring nature, watching and playing sports, and chasing down new ice cream and pizza joints around their home in Denver, he can be found hovering over an online chess board. Dr. Norman is board certified in neurology and neurocritical care and has taken a leadership role at Blue Sky as a Stroke Regional Medical Director.
