Posterior Circulation Stroke
Description
Posterior circulation stroke represents 25% of all strokes. The clinical presentation of posterior circulation stroke varies from the signs and symptoms classically associated with stroke. It is critical that clinicians, especially in the ED, are alert to the nuance of posterior circulation stroke so patients receive timely care.
After this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify common signs and symptoms of posterior circulation stroke syndromes
- Describe assessment tips for posterior circulation, specifically via telemedicine
- Describe treatment considerations for hyperacute posterior circulation strokes
